About
Dr. Hanan Peretz is an architect, researcher, and educator. He is a faculty member at Ariel University, where he coordinates the second-year design studios. His architectural practice spans all scales and a wide range of project types, from interior design, architecture, and lighting design to urban planning and public-space design. Among his projects, he developed the urban design guidelines for Tel Aviv’s Florentin neighborhood.
Alongside his professional practice and teaching, his research focuses on urban street lighting and the relationships between light, architecture, and the experience of public space after dark, with Florentin serving as a central case study in his doctoral research. His work brings together a diverse architectural practice, design education, and research, driven by an ongoing interest in how architecture, light, and planning shape urban space and everyday life.
